HeroWear
Overview
HeroWear is a wearable technology company that is developing a suite of assistive clothing solutions that reduce fatigue and physical strain on workers. Their first product, the Apex, was developed in conjunction with the Center for Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology atVanderbilt University. This video was created to assist with the launch ofHeroWear’s B2C offering.
Challenge
As this was a relatively fast turn-around project the client had very limited photography and video assets to work with. Since they were also shifting from B2B to B2C a lot of the assets that they did have didn’t speak to the new demographic that they were trying to market to. We also needed to showcase the benefits of this product in an easy to watch video while not getting too in the weeds on details in order to justify the premium price.
Approach
I reviewed the existing assets from the client and worked closely with a copywriter in order to chunk out all of the most important features of the product. Once the storyboard was completed and approved by the client we then got to work on hunting down stock footage and photography to help fill the gaps in the client’s assets and showcase the product in more consumer focused applications.
Results
We were able to create a short and punchy video that talked directly to the consumer and showed the value of theApex Exo-suit. By keeping the copy focused on the center of the screen we kept the viewer focused in one place so that we could have faster transitions and pack more information into the video without the pacing getting out of control. This was the most engagement the client had ever seen on a video with many leads noting this as the reason they reached out to learn more.
